Actor Ewan McGregor and his best friend Charley Boorman go on a 20,000 mile motorcycle tour around the globe with a little assistance by mass transit to get them across oceans and the like.

They use their own hand-held video cameras in addition to the camera crews placed in each location at which they stop to record their Long Way Round.
