Nobody likes to hear someone talk about how great their job is because so many of us get up and immediately think of plausible excuses as to why we can’t go to work that day – “Sorry boss, I think I have that flesh eating virus,” or “My split personality has killed again and guess who’s getting stuck clean up the body?!” Well, I’m sorry to say, but I love my job.
Now you’re probably thinking to yourself, “Eric, why are your teeth so crooked? And why do you like your job so damn much?” So last week I walked into work at the studio and after putting on my make-up (don’t laugh - its part of the job) I got introduced to Danny Bonaduce, who was nice enough to do a walk on for last week’s episode, and Riki Rachtman - who you may remember from The Headbanger’s Ball on MTV or from the call in radio show, Love Line. Both guys could not have been cooler or funnier. The rest of the evening consisted of drinking a fine vodka and playing Resident Evil 4 (yup, I’m a big nerd!) with our Co-Executive Producer - or EP for those of you in the biz or with adult ADD.
That is not a bad day. Sure I’m still working on my dream of becoming a producer of comic books made completely out of chocolate, but until that day becomes a reality, I thank my lucky stars for Reality Binge and all you fine people for watching. Remember if it weren’t for you guys, we’d just be telling dumb jokes to each other.
