Singer Paula Abdul is to make her acting debut in upcoming U.S. television drama "Drop Dead Diva".

The American Idol judge will star in the show about a blonde model who dies in a car crash and whose soul returns to Earth in another body.

Music mogul Simon Cowell's ex-girlfriend Terri Seymour has urged him to cut back on his workload insisting he is too old to maintain his hectic schedule.

With an estimated one-third of American adults considered obese, it's little wonder that casting agents for NBC's "The Biggest Loser" are expecting between 500 and 1,000 people to show up at an open casting call Saturday at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center.

"It's amazing how many people want to be on this show," says Tanya Taylor, a publicist for the reality show.
