| I tried a few times, but I never could really get a good look at my neighbor's paper. I knew if I tried too hard that I would get caught and I wasn't up for that type of embarrassment. Did you ever cheat: look at a classmate's paper, plagiarize a report, sneak in crib notes, something else? -- Steve |

| I removed the label from a Coke bottle and wrote a bunch of formulas on it and took it to a math exam. When I needed a formula, I took a small drink and I could see the formula when I tilted the bottle up. |

I would make mnemonics out of things I needed to memorize for exams.
A famous one for mineral hardness is
Toronto Girls Can Flirt And Only Quit To Chase Dwarves
For
Talc Gypsum Calcite Flurite Appetite Orthoclase Quartz Topaz Corumdum Diamond
And I used this one for Taxonomy:
King Phillip came over for good soup
For
Kingdom Phylum Class Order Family Genus Species

i used to input formulas on my graphing calculator. and when teacher caught on to us doing that and made us go to generic calculators i would write the formulas in pencil very lightly on the casing of the calculator than quickly write them on my tests and rub them off the casing.
i'm so ashamed

My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas used to be my mnemonic to remember the order of the planets' distances from the Sun, but now that Pluto has lost its planet status, kids will have to think of a fresh one! |
