Sweet! You have colours and everything! Oh goody!...and smileys. LMAO!!! Well, I made it, Steve. Okay, which is better? \\\\\\\"Cops\\\\\\\". Why? Coz you get a variety of cities and police agencies, as well as their policing can be *somewhat* different, e.g., what they concider PC in their particular area. I wonder why you think LAPD is <<more professional>>? We\\\\\\\'ve watched LAPD and found it kinda boring. Hey?...you asked! LOLOL!!!! Now I hafta figure out all these thingys like \\\\\\\"BBCode\\\\\\\" and \\\\\\\"Stickey\\\\\\\" and stuff. Geeze...a homework assignment. Thanks alot, FRIEND! HAHAHAA!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Sweetie, I\\\'m soooo lost. LOL!!! I\\\'m so COmFuZeD with this forum, I didn\\\'t know I had a message. I *thought* I set it to alert me. Yikes. Also thought that if you clicked \\\"reply with quote\\\" (and I might\\\'ve just done it again ) the person your responding to post came up; and *I* still use quotation marks. Yup, I\\\'m lost. Yikes...again!
Anyways, right to it. As for Stories of the Highway Patrol, absolutely NOT. (They stop filming new ones, no?) My reason for not liking it is because they do staged reinactments, so you don\\\'t get the *real time* actual action, e.g., COPS.
Why do you think the voice-overs are more \\\"professional\\\"? I think COPS is better (just like the S.W.A.T. shows) because it\\\'s the officers and perps being themselves. Sure, *maybe* some officers play up for the camera, who knows for sure in that sitution; but it makes one feel like they\\\'re actually at the scene, as opossed to the dramatization of The Highway Patrol ones. Your take on that (If this font doesn\\\'t come up blue like I *think* I set it, I\\\'m gonna throw this computer out of the window.) Ciao for now! [/img]
Okay, you have some s\'splaining to do privately to the struggling one [points to self], as the colour didn\'t show up and I dunno what all this crap, e.g.,///////<<<<<THAT is. LMAO!!!!!!!!!! Lemme know that; and WTH is *BBCode*...blah, blah, blah. Guh!
(I'm just trying something out. When posting do you just type without the punctuation) Ill see in a minute LOL!) [BANGING HEAD ON KEYBOARD.] NEED REAAAAAAAAL LENGTHY S'SPLAINING FROM YA! HAHAHA!!! |

| Ok, I watched both and you are right, Cops is much more of a reality show than LAPD. I guess they should have said "Re-enacted Live on the Beat". So, on LAPD, do they tell the perp, "OK, run away again and let us take you down?" The BBCode is just formatting stuff if you want to enhance the post. Go ahead and play with all the tools that you want to. Kennedy's assistant cleans up every night. -- Steve |

SWEETIE, I\\\'M GONNA SHOOT THIS DANG COMPUTER IN A SECOND. HAHAHA!!! I MEAN, THIS IS SERIOUSLY WEIRD. NO ALERTS, NO COLOUR, CAN\\\'T DO THE SIG. DUNNO WTH BBCode IS, SO I DISABLED IT TO SEE IF IT GOES DIFFERENT. GUH!!! (YOU GOT ME IN THIS MESS, YOU\\\'RE GONNA GET ME OUT! )
RIGHT TO IT, OKAY...NOW, OKAY, RIGHT TO IT. Now I think *you\\\'re* ComFuzED. HAHAHA!! LAPD ON THE BEAT is one show, then Stories of The Highway Patrol is the other one we\\\'re talking about. The one I don\\\'t like for the reinactments is Stories of The Highway Patrol. LAPD...I just like COPS better, for other reasons stated. The real-time, actual and REAL officers and perps. I haven\\\'t watched either LAPD *or* STORIES for a loooong time; but perhaps they do the reinactment with LAPD, as well. Either way, reinactments are much like a soap opera. B O R I N G ! ! ! LMAO!!! With the reinactments, I guess the *do* hafta tell the idiots...errr...perps, <<\\\"OK, run away again and let us take you down.>>...or, they must use actors since the shows are reinacted, so the perps are either in prison, jail or where found innocent. Lemme check something I have on file I googled; and I\\\'ll post it. LOL!!! It hasta do with Stories of the Highway Patrol, which, we already *know*, suxxxxxxxxx.
____________________________________________________
Well, when I type up a responce to you and hit \"preview\", it shows *your* quote with a blue background. I hit \"submit\", nothing. The only way to respond is *BY* hitting \"Respond with Quoate\". Wazzzzz up with that? LOL!!! You\'re gonna HAFTA s\'splain this. I\'ll get a migraine AND cranky. LOL!!
Anyways, here ya go...we were right about the reinactments. That\'s just bogus for a show, IMHO.
Real Stories of the Highway Patrol
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
Real Stories of the Highway Patrol was a syndicated television series which ran in the United States from 1993 to 1999, capitalizing on the success of \"real-life\" police series such as COPS.
The series revolved around the stories of highway patrol officers and state troopers from across the country, who would give commentary on a particularly difficult arrest they made. More often than not, the officer\'s work caused him grievous injury and a subsequent commendation from his police department. Each crime and subsequent arrest was dramatized for the viewing audience.
The series was hosted by real-life police chief Maury Hannigan, who at the time, was Commissioner of the California Highway Patrol.

I dont know who that is either!!??!! LOL!!! Was that the dude that starred in several movies? [Steve makes note...this is *her* morning. She cannot be held responsible for *anything* she says pre-coffee. ] It just dawned on me!...the dude whos voice I cant STAND is John Bunell(sp?) OMG...its like shoving an ice-pick in your ear! If I hear his voice, its enough to send me into a seizure. Guh!!!
Ohhhhhhhhhhh yeaaaaaaaaah??!!! Were you trying to insinuate that *I* am older than you with that <<I was just a kid>> statement sweetie? I think not! Tsk...tsk. When Im right, Im right. When Im wrong, Im *still* right. When you are right, well, I still overrule and am right. This is a written in stone rule...just ask the Big Guy. LMAO!!!!!!! Dude!...one more day and its *Im leaving on a jet-plane* time. OHHHHHHHHH YEAH!!!!!!! SOOOOOOO EXCITED!!! HAHAHA!!! Id say we wouldd send you sunshine; but you get enough there already. THAT I remember well! LOL!!! OOOOooohhhh...I hafta check and see if they pre-empted Cops, AGAIN. Grrrrrrrrrr. That buggers me off when they do that for dang *college* football...as IF that is more important. LMAO!!! (NOW, I betcha when I preview this, it will come up dark blue LIKE I SET IT; but when I hit submit, Ill be skrewwwwwwwwwwwed. *Sigh.*) And you said BBCode \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"enhances\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" the post. Thats a load of crap! LOLOLHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! (NOPE, didnt work. And puhleeeeeeeeeeze answer me this?!!..why does this forum mess up when one inserts commas etc? What is with all these 45 degree angle thingys like these>>>>//////?????? eg, look at the word *enhances*...same crap! I just eliminated any punctuation like that coz it gets on my nerves. ) You need to get rid of whatever little quirk makes those come up on ppls posts. Do your Wizardry to rid us of this problem. LOL!!! Its annoying as h3ll!
P.S. I backspaced so your responce would not show up. You can *ONLY* repond WITH the quoate, unless Im missing something. |

| I agree about Bunnell, and he's all over those shows like World's Craziest Police Chases. I don't understand why they chose him to be the host unless he's a producer. You can check out his MySpace page at http://www.myspace.com/sheriffofficerjohnbunnell . If you look him up on Wikipedia, you will see a link to a pretty crazy video parody. And why was he a Multnomah County Sheriff for less than a year? -- Steve |

One of these days you will'splain to me how ya answer *without* the quote. (I backspaced. HAHAHA!) And how you can use quoatation marks that dont come up with all the vertical SLANT MARKS! (I LITERALLY went back and backspaced using the two words, instead of the **APOSTROPHE**, WHICH IS DRIVING ME IN SANE!!! TELL ME HOW TO DO THIS?????? UGHHHHH!!!! YOU SHOULD DO A POST ON HOW TO WORK THIS DANG THING!! (Just make sure to show me where it *is*. )Anyways, I am home! Good & bad...will tell ya when I can PM. Anyways, you HAFTA check this out!
http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=1592162283 I was looking at the site you provided; and damn near fell over laughing at this! The first person about the 5 boroughs! OMG! Puhleeeeeeze! LMAOTID! You dont even hafta LIVE in NY to know them! Gawd! I couldnt find where it said he was a Sheriff for only one year. Could you please copy the URL? You hafta make it easssssssy for me. LOL!!! As for his voice and why they chose him, its a mystery to me, as I would rather ram an ice-pick in my own ear than hear the melodrama. He seems stuck on himself, e.g., his quoate:<<This has been put down to my overtly over-the-top commentary style, characterised by police-related jokes. My voice is also often noted as being the most melodramatic in the business of police video presenting, some say in the entirety of human achievement... >>END QUOTE. Over-the-top? Are you kidding me? Try *enough to make one take up drinking on a heavy basis just listening to it!* The times I did watch him, I never saw him joke. All I hafta do now is see he is hosting something and I IMMEDIATELY change the channel. This quote <<some say in the entirety of human achievement...>> AGAIN, are you kidding me? To praise oneself that highly PROVES he is egotistical as all get out in any language! Guh!!! I think HANDS DOWN the BEST commentary would HAVE TO BE JOHN WALSH. Do you concur? We absolutely love him! The fact that he is REAL and, very unfortunately, devoloped AMW to relieve *some* of the grief of his murdered son...he gets two thumbs up. He does not *pose* and tells it like it is. I love when he has the *Fifteen Seconds of Shame* and the *In The Line of Duty*. Talk about someone doing GOOD in this world, he is your guy. And funny? You betcha! He calls them cowards, scumbags, losers, lowlifes, creeps, etc., etc., ROFLMAO!!! *THAT IS REAL, MY FRIEND!* HAHAHA!!!!
(I think I have a post somewhere else; but AGAIN, don\\\'t now how to find unreads. I\\\'m stuck here in this little Cops things. LOL!!!)

I was not aware that he was, as we do not watch the liberal news media. Are you serious? How in Gods name could one get ANY KIND of <<personal gain>> from his murdered son? It would NOT bring back little Adam! That is ABSOLUTELY ABHORENT that anyone would feel ANYTHING would sooth the soul of a parent who has lost a child at the hands of a murderer! My God, that is ridiculous.
If what he and his wife did to have this bill passed all the way to the President to sign, is considered *personal gain*, GOD BLESS BOTH OF THEM!
http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2006/07/20060727-6.html
His show has brought down over 900 criminals, so far; and he and his wife WORKED to talked to different senators of both political parties to see the *IMPORTANCE* of a National Sex Offenders Registry, with the capability of PDs having nationwide access to these pedophiles who target our children. I say, ROCK ON!!!...and they are doing a bloody good job at it!
P.S. Ummmm...you are sooooooo detail oriented, it is frightening... [Sgts_Wife realises she will *never* get Steve to answer her questions. He is, afterall, a male. ] I digress. HAHAHA!!!
(I started editing the wrong post. LMAO! AT LEAST give me the link to where it shows Sheriff Irritating only being a Sheriff for a year. K? ) |

<<He was \"a sheriff\" for many years but he was \"Sheriff\" for less than one year: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Bunnell . It\'s funny, but Bunnell has his on page on MySpace - looking for hot chicks. -- Steve>>
I dont think he was a Sheriff for many years, sweetie. I think from the bio I copied & pasted from that link, that he was a Deputy, climbed the ladder; and was elected/chosen as Sheriff. The one year deal...looks as though he decided to nix it for the telly gig. That is what I figured he maybe had done before you profided the link.
Yup! LMAOTID!!! I saw that, too, that he\'s looking for hot chicks. He is the OPPOSITE of a *badge bunny*. HAHAHA!!! How pathetic...not if he was the LAST dude on earth, darlin\'!! BWAHAHAHA!!!! My bad. I digress. I mean, seriously! How far gone would one hafta be to look for a date on MySpace? That goes back to my saying--*Get a hooker, anything!* He\'s another loser with a capital L.
Here is the link from the URL you posted explaining a bit of his bio--
<<http://www.andrewsilke.co.uk/sheriff/bio.htm>>
It is pathetic how he goes on about himself in some of the site. He needs to get a grip. LMAO!!! YIKES!!! |

Here are a few great Bunnell qotes:
This guy is high on a deadly cocktail of methamphetamines
they'll have PLENTY of time to think about it where they're going... TO JAIL!
These fast moving PUNKS will have a long time to spin their wheels..... IN JAIL!
Look at this bozo blowing down the freeway in his high performance sedan. He crosses the median narrowly avoiding a collision with an oncoming cruiser.
They tried the highway. They tried the freeway. They tried every way, but they couldnt get away!!!
... and if you dont obey the laws of the road, the privilege of driving could turn into the right, to Remain silent
Can you think of others? -- Steve |

Well, I\'ll be honest...we\'ve only watched him a handful of times, as we\'re not fans of his. LOLOL!!!
However, when I get a little more time, I\'ll look at his site \'n see if I can find any that are funny. (I\'ll be nice...I\'ll just pretend it\'s not him saying them if they\'re funny. ) He\'s nothing but repeats anyways. How pathetic! HAHAHAHA!!! Sweetie, I couldn\'t help myself! |

Okay, I took a look JUST FOR YOU. HAHAHA!!! Anyways, the first three...I must admit, I *do* like these quotes!

| They're both pretty good shows. COPS does show a variety of locations and agencies. (that reminds me...they've gone to vegas and some other cities, on several occasions. I wonder if they're ever gonna come back to L.A.?) I actually like LAPD better though. LAPD shows different aspects on the Department, not just patrol. I like the profiles they do. |
